Chevalier School Of Dance
For Ballroom & Latin American
The Chevalier School of Dance has been inspiring and training Ballroom, Latin American and Sequence dancers since 1990. We offer a wide variety of classes to suit dancers of every age, experience level and interest. 

All lessons and workshops are taught by Karen Chevalier; the most qualified and most experienced Ballroom, Latin American, Sequence and Argentine Tango teacher in the area. Karen has also been an examiner since 2014. 

We also run Social Dances most Fridays across Lincolnshire and Leicestershire so that you have fun whilst showing off your latest Latin American, Ballroom and Sequence dancing moves. It also a great way to meet and make new friends with similar interests.

Dance holidays are also available. For 19th to 23rd October 2025 we are in the Bedford hotel, Lytham St. Annes.

Monday 29th September at  Walton Academy, Grantham

NG31 7JR. 7.00pm to 8.00pm, 5 week course Learn How To Waltz.


Monday 3rd November, 8.00pm to 8.55pm. Ballroom Beginners Class at Walton Academy, Grantham.


Tuesday 30th September at Barkston.  7.10pm to 8.00pm.  5 week course, learn how to Rock & Roll dance.

 
Couples/Solos are welcome to all classes.


Private Lessons By Appointment or come along and join in with any of the existing classes.

Karen has been ballroom  and Latin American dancing since she was eleven and became a teacher in 1990.

Your teacher is a professional dancer who has a passion for her art and for teaching others the same. In addition to being highly accomplished in her field, she is also an energetic, positive and caring person.   Karen is the arranger of the popular latin american sequence dance Bossa Nova 23 which won the British Dance Council latin section in August 2023.

Easy Access To Venues

All our venues have free onsite parking so you don't need to worry about finding a parking space.  The various locations also allow easy access from
Grantham, Stamford, Oakham, Melton Mowbray, Sleaford, Bingham, and Newark.
